Odis Parker State Farm is excited to help you usher in the month of September.
Happy September! Football is on the way, homecoming season is approaching and the kids' activities are soon to be back in FULL SWING. As school is back in session and fall approaches, it’s a great time to think about safety and planning.
September is National Preparedness Month—so whether you’re preparing for storms, busy schedules, or changing weather, a quick checklist can go a long way. It’s also National Life Insurance Awareness Month, making it a smart moment to review your coverage and ensure it still fits your needs. Life is about "Probability vs. Consequence". The probability of the unexpected could be low, but what's the consequence if you aren't prepared?
Let’s make sure you and your loved ones are ready for what’s next.

With over 15 years as a State Farm agent—and a journey that began in 2008 as a team member before opening my own office—I bring both experience and perspective to every conversation. Together, my team and I offer over 50 years of combined State Farm experience, supporting customers with Auto Insurance, Homeowners Insurance, Life Insurance, and financial services that make sense for your everyday needs. Whether you’re insuring your first car, settling into a new home, or thinking about how to protect your family long-term, we’re here to walk through it with you.
I’ve always been driven by the idea of making a difference. That’s what originally drew me to State Farm—a company that helps people recover from the unexpected while offering practical options for daily living. It’s a big company with down-home values, and that’s exactly how we approach our work. We’re real people—parents, grandparents, neighbors, and community members—who just happen to provide insurance. That relatability, combined with local roots in Licking County and Franklin County, gives our customers the personal connection they’re looking for.
I’m a Wright State University graduate (Class of 2004) with a B.S. in Organizational Leadership and a minor in Economics, and I hold the ChFC designation. I’m also honored to be an Ambassador Travel Qualifier and an active member of the Pataskala Area Chamber of Commerce, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., the West Licking Fire Fighters Association, and a volunteer with the Rogers Neighborhood Classic, PLSD elementary schools, and the AAMWW National Initiative.
Outside the office, my wife Knasarae and I—married for 10 years—stay busy with our son Jack, enjoying movies, music, workouts, and checking out new pizza spots around town. I’m also a big Ohio State fan, so Saturdays in the fall are spoken for. You’ll find us right here in Pataskala, conveniently located on Broad Street between the Nutcracker Restaurant and Wendy’s.
We love helping people relocate to the area and making those transitions as smooth as possible. Our office proudly serves customers across the entire state of Ohio, and we’re happy to connect in person or virtually when needed.
If you’re looking for a team that’s friendly, laid back, and practical—and truly invested in helping you protect your future—give us a call or stop by for a personalized quote today!
Fall Season Safety Check: 5 Easy Steps to Protect What Matters
The Fall is a great time to do a quick safety review—because protection isn’t only about insurance, it’s also about prevention. Here are five simple steps you can take this month:
✅ 1) Check your tires and brakes before long trips—small maintenance can help prevent big surprises.
✅ 2) Inspect smoke and carbon monoxide detectors at home for extra safety. Things can happen at a moment's notice.
✅ 3) Review your home coverage with storm season in mind—make sure your policy fits your property and belongings.
✅ 4) Refresh safe-driving habits for the season (especially with more road time and distracted driving risks).
✅ 5) Consider coverage updates—life insurance and renters coverage are often overlooked until you need them.
